B.E.M. Sound short for "Beaker Electronic Music & Sound" born Shay Warren Swindell (November 12, 1985) is an American electronic music artist and began producing electronic music in 2001. Being self-taught he learned everything from playing the piano to mixing & mastering. While never being able to perform his art onstage, his music has steadily grown professionally while gaining not huge followings, instead very dedicated fans.  
“My first experience with listening to Ray Lynch's album Deep Breakfast was so powerful I told myself I want to do that.” he says, “From that moment I taught myself everything I could to become the musician I am today.” 
His music can be quite diverse, always very melodic in nature, and hinges on human emotion at its core. He finds inspiration from all walks of music, his fondness for classical composers, EDM, and film score composers such as Ray Lynch, Kraftwerk, Brian Eno, Beethoven, Mozart, Tchaikovsky, Rachmaninoff, BT, Tommy Tallarico, Jeremy Soule, Tiesto, Deadmau5, Hanz Zimmer, John Williams, Howard Shore, and among many others has opened his mind in a way that his musical direction has shifted to scoring orchestra's.  
“To me film scores made me experience a movie rather than just being a spectator” says Shay, “The day I heard real orchestra's in a video game by Tommy Tallarico I was blown away, and saying to myself, no more bleeps and bloops!” he laughs. 
“Being a Father has touched my heart in ways I will never be able to explain on paper, and that's why my music has changed over the past few years, only music can express it,” he quotes. 
(Industry Quote) "The looking glass" This track plays around in two different worlds, the electronic and the acoustic. You may have played your strings on a computer keyboard, but you do not forget how the “real” ones sound. The track has a structure that suggests you may have listened to Kraftwerk’s “Autobahn” along your creative way. He has been working for the past few years on his latest album "Semplice Nocturne", which is a cinematic venture that blurs the lines between the acoustical world of orchestral scores and the electronic, ambient, glitch of EDM, and will see a 2015 release.
